OKBET NHL Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions Wednesday, Oct. 26

In tonight’s action in the national hockey league (NHL), there will be only six teams competing, and the puck will drop as early as 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). When the Rangers play against the Islanders on Long Island, it’s a contest for New York supremacy that everyone is watching. The Oilers and the Blues will then square off in St. Louis, and the evening will come to a close with a matchup in the Pacific Time Zone between the Lightning and the Ducks. I’ve narrowed down my top two NHL bets for tonight and listed them below.

The odds are provided by OKBET Sportsbook

Rangers of New York taking on Islanders of New York

Both of these Metropolitan Division opponents are riding three-game losing streaks coming into this game, despite the fact that high expectations have been placed on each of them individually. Yesterday evening, the Rangers were defeated by the Avalanche in a game decided by a shootout, while on Sunday, the Islanders were defeated by the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The game that will take place tonight at UBS Arena is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).

For a number of very important reasons, I have decided that tonight I will bet the moneyline on the Isles. To begin, New York is attempting to recover from that marathon game they played against the Avalanche the night before. Because of this, I feel that Igor Shesterkin will be sitting on the bench tonight, and Jaroslav Halak will be stepping up to take over the goaltender duties.

The goaltender, who is 37 years old and has a record of 0-2-0 for the year, with a GAA of 4.04 and an SV% of just.852. Even though we don’t usually think of the Islanders as having a very strong offensive, they should be able to score at least two or three goals today, and I believe it will be enough to win the game for them.

Ilya Sorokin is the most likely candidate to start in goal for the Isles, and speaking for me, I think this particular player is a tad bit underestimated. Even though he just has a record of 1-3-0, his goals against average is only 2.84 and his save percentage is 908. I believe that he is on the cusp of being considered among the best goaltenders among players such as Shesterkin and Vasilevskiy.

Tonight, I anticipate that Sorokin will completely shut out the Rangers, and the Isles should be able to generate just enough offense to pull out the victory. Tonight, let’s put our money on the Islanders at the moneyline.

Edmonton Oilers vs. St. Louis Blues

Tonight in St. Louis, the Blues will play host to the Oilers in a matchup that features two powerhouse teams from the Western Conference. The most recent match between these two clubs took place on Saturday, and the Blues skated away with a 2-0 victory thanks to Jordan Binnington’s 23 saves in goal. Tonight, at 7:30 p.m. local time (ET), we will get this one started at the Enterprise Center.

Because I like the way that this Blues squad has been shaping up through the early portion of the season, I am going to lock them in on the moneyline for tonight’s game. Binnington has had a great start to the new year, as he enters tonight’s game with a record of 3-0-0, a 1.65 goals against average, and a.940 save percentage in three starts.

Even if he has demonstrated that he is capable of becoming an incredible player behind the drum kit, he does not deserve all of the credit. With players like Nick Leddy, Colton Parayko, Torey Krug, and Justin Faulk, St. Louis’s defensive zone is one of the most impressive in the league. If you want to win a game against a team like Edmonton, you are going to need some experienced defensemen like these.

Their success can be attributed to both their experience and their organizational structure. On Saturday, they only had one opportunity to put Edmonton on the power play, but they successfully neutralized it. To this point in the new season, the St. Louis penalty kill unit has a record of 22-22 (100 percent).

Tonight’s game in St. Louis is likely going to be another low-scoring affair, and while I’d like to see the Blues come away with two points, I don’t think that’s going to happen. They are the more organized team, and they have the physicality necessary to dominate this top-heavy Oilers squad. Let’s back the squad that’s playing at home in this one.
